Dictatorship Disguised

Oh, let me regale you with a tale,

Of a land where democracy seems frail,

In the realm of Yogi's power so grand,

Where the people's rights sink in quicksand.

Uttar Pradesh, where tyranny thrives,

A government that no one survives,

They denied permission, oh what a blow,

To celebrate Kabir's birth, don't you know?

Prime Minister Modi's own domain,

Varanasi, where spirituality's reign,

But Kabir's festival, a joyful affair,

Was deemed unworthy, a decree unfair.

How dare they trample on people's voice,

Denying permission, their callous choice,

Dictatorship disguised as governance,

Leaving us all in a state of perplexing trance.

Oh, pray tell, what kind of democracy is this?

Where the ruler decides what to dismiss,

The rights of the people, cast aside,

In the name of power, they subside.
